Track Academy Open Meeting Returns in 2026 – Bigger, Bolder and on a Weekend

Following the record-breaking turnout of last year’s event, we are lining up the date for the Track Academy Open Meeting for 2026. As one of the highlights of our annual calendar, we aim to keep the same buzz, inclusivity, tunes, food and cheering!

Due to everyone’s support, we’re taking this beloved community athletics staple to the next level.

What’s New for 2026?

  • A New Day: We’re moving to a full weekend day to allow for more time, more competitions, and a bigger celebration of athletics.

  • More to Compete: With the extended schedule, we’ll be introducing more events to give even more athletes the chance to shine. While we’ll keep the spirit of events like the Under-11s long jump and the mile run, you can expect an even wider range of track and field action.

The Same Great Spirit: Our core mission remains the same: to provide a friendly, high-quality and inspiring competition for athletes of all ages and abilities. We’re keeping everything you loved – the great community vibes, the fast running, and yes, the ice cream, food, and DJ will be back!

“The more the merrier.”

All events will continue to be graded, so you’ll compete against people of a similar ability, whether you’re 9, a senior, or a veteran. It’s a perfect chance to “not be shy and give it a go!”

We can’t wait to welcome you for what promises to be our most exciting Open Meeting yet. Pencil in the date but we will confirm shortly via email and social media.

🗓️ Date: Saturday 25th July 2026
