Mentoring
For young people from underserved London communities, the path to a bright future is often blocked by systemic barriers. At Track Academy, we know a powerful catalyst for change is a developmental relationship. Our holistic model is built on a network of supportive connections – with coaches on the track, tutors in the classroom and staff throughout our hub. This community lays the essential groundwork of trust and belonging.
Culmination of trust: Dedicated mentoring
Within this supportive network, our dedicated mentors provide the crucial, in-depth partnership. They build upon the foundational relationships formed during athletics and study sessions to offer structured, one-to-one support. Acting as guides and advocates, they help youth navigate complex personal challenges – from academic stress and bullying to family breakdown and eating disorders – while proactively building the resilience and life skills defined in our purpose: to create a launchpad for young people to overcome challenges and thrive.
We believe in thriving, not just surviving. Too many youth feel unseen and unsafe, our mentors provide the focused, confidential space for a young person to be heard and understood. This specialised developmental relationship is the engine of profound change, empowering them with the unwavering confidence to not just adapt to the world, but to shape it.
