Young Roots, Care4Calais and Yaseen Cultural Centre have identified the needs of asylum seekers currently living in interim hotel accommodation in Wembley.

Asylum seekers often have vulnerable mental health due to the limbo in which they find themselves.

This is exacerbated by the lack of access to physical exercise.

By offering a variety of sport activities such as yoga and football, the project aims to provide a safe space for them to get active.

The project will accommodate more than 70 people per week. The sessions provide a unique opportunity for asylum seekers to enhance their well-being, improve their physical and mental health, tackle social isolation, and improve their English language skills to foster a sense of belonging.
