Two Track Academy athletes at very different stages in their sporting careers brought home gold medals at the Middlesex Indoor Championships.

Representing the under-15s, Abigail Ejakita (pictured above left, in the centre) stormed to victory in the 200m, winning with a time of 26.64 seconds. She also took bronze in the 60m with a time of 8.08 seconds. Meanwhile, Track Academy coach Samuel Nash, 50, became the veteran long jump champion after landing 5.28m.

The event at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Edmonton, north London, also saw under-17 Megan Omoya-Broad take silver in the 60m with a time of 7.97s seconds.

Bronze medals were won by Zoe Dolan (u15) in the 60m, Shenal Kuranage (u17) in the long jump and Demario Seaton (u20) in the 200m.

It was also a good weekend for athletes trained by Track Academy coach Lumar Sylvester at Thames Valley Harriers. Under-20 Katie-Marie Sherlock won gold in the 400m, while Clyde Anucha and Finn Rodgers (u23) took bronze medals in the 60m and 400m respectively.
